Exciting things are happening at CIESC as two additional school districts are coming on board. On April 18th CIESC hosted events at both Nineveh Hensley Jackson and Hamilton Heights School districts. We will hold additional events at the two schools district headquarters May 1st.

Juvenile Homicide Boot Camp for all Educators at CIESC June 7 & 8

The Central Indiana Educational Service Center will be hosting the JUVENILE HOMICIDE BOOT CAMP on June 7 and 8, 2012. A must for every teacher and administrator, this informative two day workshop will help us make our schools and communities a safer place. This course is being presented by Phil Chalmers, “America’s Leading Authority on Juvenile Homicide” and is considered the best training on juvenile homicide and youth culture in the world. The curriculum is from Phil’s brand new school assembly called “True Lies” and will include all of his power point slides and all the edgy videos he uses in his school assembly. Topics to be covered include: the causes of teen murder, the warning signs that were missed and the triggers that cause juveniles to kill. Also included will be a look at the latest teen trends, drug trends, gang trends, teen lingo, teen entertainment, technology, and school safety strategies.

CIESC Prospective Principals Program

The CIESC Prospective Principals Program is a collaborative effort with Indiana University that assists potential principal candidates. This career path begins with PPA as an orientation to leadership and may lead into certification with job acquisition assistance through IU. In order to receive your Administrative License Certificate, you must have your master’s degree. The PPA program enables you to earn your master’s degree while earning your administrative license with all classes held at CIESC!

Visiting Teachers From Spain Program

Spain logo_border CIESC is pleased to inform you of an opportunity to offer Spanish language instruction through the Visiting Teacher from Spain Program. This program enables local school districts to hire a highly-qualified native Spanish speaker to teach at elementary, middle and high school levels.
