Meet the New Executive Director

b18e703e-764a-4024-ada5-6d7bb2b21a1bMeet the new Executive Director of CIESC, Dr. Kevin Caress

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (May 27, 2014) – Kevin Caress, Ed.D., has been named Executive Director for the Central Indiana Education Service Center (CIESC). His appointment comes after a regional search and is effective immediately. His responsibilities include driving policy and services for more than a dozen CIESC programs.

"Kevin Caress has the energy, passion and vision to move CIESC to the next level, and we are thrilled to have this highly respected Central Indiana education leader at the helm," said CIESC Interim Executive Director Michele Moore, Ed.D. "CIESC will be in good hands. He not only understands the culture..., but he also grasps CIESC's future potential." In his role as Executive Director, Dr. Caress will oversee the organization's $9 million budget, develop new collaborations, and direct more than a dozen educational support programs that help central Indiana organizations achieve their goals.

"Service is everything. We are committed to maintaining value-added services that benefit other non-profits. I look forward to helping our members meet the challenges provided by the state and by economic conditions. Together, we will shape a vision going forward," said Dr. Caress.

Dr. Caress received his Master's degree from Purdue University in 1981, and his Ed.D. from Indiana University in 1989. He was Superintendent of Clark-Pleasant Schools from 2009-2012. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Indiana Wesleyan University, and as CIESC Board President.
"His familiarity with this organization, his leadership style and strong commitment to education make Kevin Caress an ideal choice for CIESC," noted Board President, Dr. Robert Taylor.

Dr. Caress replaces Dr. Moore, who served as Interim Executive Director for nearly a year.
